Academics

I attended the Albert Nerken School of Engineering at The Cooper Union in NYC for my undergraduate (Electrical Engineering, Class of 2020) and Masters (Electrical Engineering, Class of 2022) studies. As an undergraduate, I followed the Signal Processing and Electronics track.

In addition to the standard undergraduate curriculum, my graduate-level elective studies included natural language processing, computer graphics, Bayesian statistical machine learning, deep learning, computer architecture, DSP hardware design, satellite communications, and cybersecurity.

While an undergraduate student, I worked as a teaching assistant for the Analog VLSI and Operating Systems courses.

Thesis

My thesis project is in the field of high-speed integrated circuit design for radio applications. Specifically, I investigated whether local oscillator and mixer circuits used for downconversion receivers operating at microwave frequencies could be improved by the use of cross-coupled transistor pairs as non-linear negative impedance devices that could counteract existing losses and non-linearities.

The proposed circuits were taped out into real chips made on TSMC's 65 nm RF-CMOS process, and I am in the process of evaluating their performance with real-world measurements. To the best of my knowledge, this was the first time that a 65 nm integrated circuit was taped out and sent for fabrication at the Cooper Union.

Professional Experience

As of 2020, I am a software engineer at Google NYC working on performance testing and release frameworks for the software that powers Google's storage infrastructure. I previously interned with Google in the summers of 2018 and 2019.

Before interning at Google, I was an electrical engineering intern at Totem Power where I designed power electronics including energy storage systems. At that time, I was also a student researcher at Cooper Union's Complex Fluid Physics and Engineering (CoFPhE) lab, where I designed electronic control systems and circuitry for small autonomous boats operating in complex fluid flows.

Hobbies and Side Projects

During my undergrad studies, I worked with the Create@Cooper organization, which organizes the HackCooper hackathon. In order to facilitate our Fall 2019 hackathon, I acted as a team lead for a group of five students working on software tailored to our event's needs such as registration, judging, and day-of communication. I was a lead for the Cooper Union Rock Climbing club, where I helped organize events and outings for members and the student body.

I also served as the electronics design lead for the Cooper Union Hyperloop team during its first season. After our 2018 competition season concluded, I worked with Cooper Union's administration to ensure an orderly shutdown of the club's activities after concluding that the team's goals could not be feasibly attained without compromising safety.

My personal hobbies include various personal projects, rock climbing (boulder+toprope+indoor lead), and hiking. I also enjoy drinking a variety of caffeine-free teas—my current favorite is the Ginger Blueberry blend from The Whistling Kettle.
